okay. gonna write about my venice trip before i start forgetting everything.
So because our flight is at 6:10am and we needed to check in by 5:45am, and the first bus from my dorm is at 5:30am, so we decided to sleep in the airport. like take the 12mn bus and then sleep there. it was quite an experience. first time sleeping like a homeless person. (okay not first. the first was when i was 16 and my family were supposed to go to venice from switzerland and we slept in the train station). Oh okay, i just realised that we were going to VENICE then as well. lol.
SO anyway, gl, virginia and I slept in macs. I slept for abt an hour before I realised that i cant sleep anymore. and then we had to check in.
 Nice sunrise from the plane.
 act yi ge ming xing
So then we boarded the plane and wizz air was SO DAMN GOOD. as in the landing. because we were SO damn sleepy and I was nuaing and waiting for the plane to shake while landing. BUT THERE WAS NO SHAKE. you know, the shaky landing of planes. yeah the next thing i knew people just stood up.
well done wizz air! okay but the bad thing about it is that it is free seating. SO, we should have boarded the plance earlier.
Okay we then reached the airport at 8am and we were stunned. because the lady at the tourist counter was not there yet and we had to wait an hour or so for her to arrive, which we thought it was a waste of time. and we didnt have a map. so we just followed some instructions the hostel that we have booked to navigate them.
so we were supposed to take Bus 5 to Piazzale Roma. and then take a boat bus. But the thing is, the ticket machine said that a ticket cost 2.5euros for a ticket for a single journey but the bus driver said we had to pay 5euros. i was like no, that's not it. because I heard that we have to be careful in italy so I was like kinda paranoid. In the end, he said that we had to pay the extra 2.5euros for our luggages. (WTH!) SO then , we finally reached venice and see the water and boats everywhere. Oh yeah, just to let everyone know, there are NO roads in venice. NO ROADS. NO CARS. NO MOTORCYCLES. ONLY boats and the taxi are boats as well.
Act yi ge flagging for taxi. Just to prove my point.
we went to the tourist info with a damn pmsy woman who gave us wrong info somemore. She wanted to sell us a map for 2.5euros but we knew that maps will be given by hostel for free.
So we asked the woman how to go to San Samuele and she was like take boat 1. Which was confusing because the instructions was to take boat 2. anyhow, we thought maybe the info given by the hostel might be out dated so we went into the boat 1 stop. and to take boat you had to validate the ticket. luckily guang liang nv validate the ticket. because what the woman said was wrong. boat stop number had a person checking the tickets so we were really lucky no to validate it.
So then finally reached out hostel after much weaving through the place. you see, Venice is filled with alleys. maps arent exactly very useful because there are just too many lanes and the sequence of the buildings arent regular. you can only use the map to roughly gauge where you are.
So tada. our hostel. ( a place that turned out quite miserable)
